Did you know? Each song on the Lunar News playlist is a horoscope for each of the 12 zodiac signs during this lunar cycle
Is it recklessness or is it bravery? Is your arrow’s aim true or are you shooting blind just to hit something? These are the kinds of questions we are asking ourselves today and this week during the full Moon in Sagittarius. Sagittarius is a quest enjoyer, a truth seeker, a high minded philosopher, and a prideful trickster. The sign embodies a Fuck Around and Find Out attitude because that is the only way to live when your one goal in life is to maximize your experiences for the purpose of expanding your knowledge. It’s a great full Moon to abandon yourself to and surrender to the fullest extent possible.
The best part of this full Moon and why it is extra blessed? It’s Jupiter’s, the planet that rules Sagittarius, ingress into Cancer, the sign of his exaltation. This is an especially lucky moment (with some notable bummers—more on that in a minute) for all those who are willing to let go of their attachments to desires and certain outcomes and are ready to learn and integrate life’s lessons for the sake of learning. Perhaps the greatest value and highest priority for Sagittarius is the practice of Learning and striving to find truth in the world. Whereas Gemini, the opposite polarity, wants to understand all the individual details and elements that keep the world spinning, Sagittarius asks why the world spins and enjoys discovering and cultivating meaning. During this full Moon and in the weeks after, as the Moon light wanes, we’ll feel emboldened to form broader, more holistic perspectives on the world and our place in it.
Sagittarius is an exciting sign—edgy, with a sharp tongue that will make a biting comment at another person’s expense and then when that person gets offended will say, “can’t take a joke, can you?” The sign is mutable and of the fire triplicity; it does what it wants and takes chances and never calculates and shoots a shot and usually ends up dunking out of sheer dumb luck. Sagittarius has all the tools and all the knowledge, but is too busy projecting that it’s never able to help or heal itself. It’s an extraordinarily frustrating sign, but when well-integrated, Sagittarius is the wisest, most fun, most soulful and most powerful sign. For every virtue there is a vice, and this is what makes Sagittarius so exciting to be around and channel. This full Moon is overflowing with a kind of petulant enthusiasm and lust for life that will give us a confidence boost to look deeply and discover wisdom.
Despite this being such an optimistic syzygy, the influence of the outer planets Saturn and Neptune and Pluto is undeniable as they make a square to Jupiter and Mercury and Venus. These tense and unfortunate aspects add an air of confusion, deception, and discomfort in our dealings in business and personal matters. Amidst all the chaos of a full Moon, we might react to these nasty squares with a desire and urge to keep everything under control, or to keep the peace. These efforts to control are futile, however, and you’re better off just giving up and giving in to the insanity of the moment. The electrifying experience of life when it’s at its most unpredictable is valuable and rare.
We have a solstice during this upcoming lunar cycle and it’s a good time to reflect on the last six months. Whether you are welcoming the sunlight back in or bidding farewell to long days of bright Sun, my hope for you is that you are not wasting this year being afraid of connection and vulnerability and love. May you always know and trust the light that is within your soul and never be afraid to share that light with your fellow man.
Lunar Cycle Transits
June 14: Jupiter square Saturn
Not a great day for relationships, but an excellent day for making impactful business partnerships and closing deals.
If you’re dealing with conflicts with friends and/or loved ones, a separation or severing of those connections might be the answering, at least in the short term. Do not act rashly, though, Saturn wants you to take time to deliberate and judge for yourself what must be eliminated from your life. Furthermore, you’ll be weighing your own values and being conscientious of the responsibilities you owe yourself and others in your relationships. It will become clear to you today what, or who you have to walk away from in order to level up to take on these new responsibilities. This square brings tension and confusion surrounding our interpersonal relationships because so much of our relationships are about pleasure. Pleasure and bliss are within Jupiter’s domain and when Saturn is imposing his restrictive protocol in such a forceful aspect, we are confronted with a reality check. This transit is at once about expansion and restriction and the reality check there is that we cannot have it all, everything has a cost and it’s up to us as individuals to meet a balance. Quiet deliberation in solitude is recommended because we don’t want our decisions about how to move forward in our lives to be influenced by external forces.
For helpful reflection, consider December 24, 2024—this was the date of the last Jupiter-Saturn square—and think about what, if any, situations with these same themes were coming up in your life. A few things are different this time around: Jupiter is moving prograde and both planets are freshly ingressed into Aries and Cancer. We might experience a stronger sense of urgency, or possibly feel more up to the task of facing this square now that it’s taking place in these two Cardinal signs.
Due to the somber nature of this transit and the discernment it requires, we are in the right headspace to make good decisions in business or other professional matters. Any kind of deals or agreements that need to be made at this time will have careful consideration and strong power of judgement behind them. Business partnerships forged and committed to will have good longevity.
Mars square Uranus
In a perfect world, we’d have peace and stillness in the rest of the heavens to contend with the Jupiter-Saturn square and give substantial thought and reflection to our lives. Alas, the Mars-Uranus square will cause some disturbances at best, great upsets at worst, that will be sure to render us more confused and agitated.
This stand-off between Mars and Uranus is rebellious in spirit and has to do with bucking the stagnancy of our own lives. Going through our day to day on “autopilot” is certainly the safe way to live, but the boredom creep is potent and it goes undetected for a long time until it boils over in one explosive nervous breakdown or crisis that derails our lives for a bit. Oftentimes, if we really examine these moments in our lives, we’ll see that we create these problems in our lives not only to jolt us out of a rut, but to give our minds something to do, a problem to solve, a situation to reconstruct, etc. Creating drama is one way of getting un-stuck, but it can have unintended, ruinous consequences that are not worth a small need for excitement. The trick is to furnish our lives with enough stimulation and regular change so that we don’t blow everything up in one fell swoop and have to deal with unnecessary fallout. This is a challenge, but it is possible, and it is indeed a lifelong journey to figure out how perfect this.
This square might have us erupting in fights and irritations; it’s important to mitigate this by either keeping our mouths shut, or having a forgiveness mindset a few days from today. Bear in mind that sublimated agitation can manifest as accidents and injuries, so take caution when going about your day today.
June 17: Mars ingress into Virgo
The planet of direct action, aggression, sexuality is next up to make a high impact ingress where he will flavor our life in militant ways, critical and cynical ways. Mars in Virgo will want to restore order and restoration to our lives after such a horrendous bout through Cancer and Leo. It’s time to get to work and concentrate on leveling up. The next 7 weeks or so are great for getting clear on your goals and making the most of your time to achieve them. This is an excellent time to revisit your any resolutions made at the beginning of the new year, or just to evaluate whether or not you are where you thought you would be by this time.
June 18: Jupiter square Neptune
Be careful with your fool’s errands today. This square tends to make us overly idealistic, way too generous, and overly optimistic. Remember that a good dose of skepticism is always called for when you find yourself getting too wrapped up in your beliefs and ideals. You’ll feel a great impulse to romanticize the opportunities coming into your life at this time as well as over-estimate the extent to which you can be generous with other people. This is a classic if-you-give-a-mouse-a-cookie transit whereby if you don’t temper your generous spirit with others with strong boundaries, you will be drained of all your resources—material and immaterial.
Fumbling the bag, fumbling the girl, fumbling the opportunity is all on the table today as you might consider yourself a lot more protected and lucky in your actions. It’s important to remember here: you’re not being struck with bad luck because of random chance nor because you deserve bad luck. Rather, you’re experiencing bad luck because you chose to ignore the red flags on your wild pursuit of desires that were rooted in false hopes and ideals. The only way to mitigate risking it all and losing it all is to keep your head out of the clouds and remind yourself to not get swept up in the romance of your life from behind rose colored glasses. Never forget: the grass is actually always deader on the other side.
June 21: SOLSTICE Sun ingress into Cancer
For those of us in the northern hemisphere, we shall enjoy the longest day of the year. The day where the power and light of the Sun prevails over the darkness of the night. This is a supercharged and sacred day to be thankful to the life that springs forth from the rays of the Sun. How lucky we are to have enjoyed an elongation of light. After today we’ll bid farewell to the light as the nights begin to get longer and the Sun moves farther and farther southward from us.
Cancer season will begins blessed with a stellium in the sign and the Moon, the sign’s ruler, in Taurus conjunct Venus. This is inviting us to luxuriate in our pleasures and indulge our sensuality. The squares from Saturn and Neptune hamper this Cancer season with bitter truths about the dangers of ignoring reality in favor of seeing the world as we wish it were, not as it really is. Love wins, though, and even when it’s difficult, or when the pride feels like too much to swallow, expressing your vulnerability fearlessly and with a pure heart will only result in positive forward motion. Good luck.
June 24: Sun conjunct Jupiter
This is a beautiful day of poetry, of free expression of love, of blessings in our relationships. This is the best day of the year to leverage “the power of positive thinking” and chase after what you want and construct your ideal reality. Bold optimism gives way to greater chances of getting everything we’ve ever wanted in our lives. Risks are cushioned with synchronistic blessings from the universe and you must not take these for granted.
Be careful of over-indulging on this day, but in general you are protected from even your own vices.
June 14: "Quiet deliberation in solitude is recommended because we don’t want our decisions about how to move forward in our lives to be influenced by external forces"
I don't know if this is related to your disappearance on X, but if so, I hope you are rewarded with the discernment you are looking for. You are an incredibly unique source of light.
Best of luck, Glassy.
